  • 1 cup Urad dal Uzhunuparippu
  • Channa dal ¾ cup., Kadala parippu
  • 50 g Redchillies
  • 1 no Jaggery powdered, Sharkara
  • 1 tsp White gingelly Ellu
  • 3 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Coconut oil
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida Kayam


  • For preparing molagapodi-brahmins special, roast urad dal, channa dal in coconut oil. After roasting, add white gingelly and red chillies and keep roasting.
  • Grind the roasted item.
  • Add salt, jaggery, asafoetida and mix well.
  • Molagapodi-brahmin special is ready to use as side dish for idly/ dosai etc.
