This is my family authentic recipe. this is very good in taste. The mutton is so soft cooked with spicy gravy

Ingredients
  • Mutton - 1/2 kg
  • Shallots - 1/2 cup
  • Tomato - 1
  • Curry leaves(little) -
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Curry masala(we use homemade) or red chili + coriander powde) - 3 tblsp
  • Fennel seed - 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Coconut - 2 tblsp
  • Poppy Seed - 1 tblsp
  • Oil - 2 tblsp
  • Salt(as taste) -
  • If needed add chopped coconut cube at the last stage of gravy -

Instructions
  1. In a pan add oil and temper jeera and pepper

  2. Now add curry leaves and shallots. saute well

  3. Now add fennel seed and tomato. saute well

  4. Now add curry masala and mix well

  5. Now add coconut and poppy seeds.mix well and turn off. allow to cool and grind it as a paste

  6. Now boil mutton with 1/2 cup water,turmeric,oil and salt. cook well

  7. Now Transfer to pan and add grinded masala and mix well. cook for 10 minutes. if needed add little water and add chopped coconut.when gravy becomes thick turn off.
