Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Mutton
  • 4 nos Onion cut into thin slices
  • 2 nos Tomato cut into thin slices
  • 1 medium Ginger chopped
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 4 nos Shallots sliced, Kunjulli
  • 1 tbsp Gheee
  • Coraianderleaves Few, chopped
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

  • Put the ingredients: mutton, onion, tomato, ginger, chilly powder and required salt into a pressure cooker. Cook well till the mutton becomes tender.
  • After that, heat little oil in a pan and heat all the masalas: coriander, chilly, pepper and coconut till a roasted smell comes.
  • Grind the roasted masala mixture without adding water. Add this ground mixture into the cooked mutton. Add some water and make it boil for some time.
  • For seasoning: Take a pan and heat ghee. Splutter mustard seeds. Add shallots and curry leaves. Saute well. Put the fried seasoning into the mutton curry. If required, add some pepper powder also. Garnish with coriander leaves. Mutton curry is ready, serve hot.

    This was a very nice mutton curry with thick gravy, enjoyed the fried coconut based masala and also mutton curry’s taste was superb with the ghee based garnishing. Whole family enjoyed.
