  • Crabs -
  • Ginger - 2 small
  • Onions(chopped) - 3 nos
  • Garlic pods - 12 nos
  • Curd/Yoghurt(Thayiru) - 1 cup
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Black cumin(Shahjeera) - 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamom(Karugapatta) -
  • Chilly powder(As reqd) -
  • Salt(As reqd) -
For garnishing:
  • Coriander - 2 tsp
  • Poppy seeds(Khashakhasha) - 1/2 tsp
  • Khobra - 1/2

Instructions
  1. Grind the ingredients to a paste.
  2. Apply the paste on the crab and marinate.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add onions.
  4. Fry them till they become brown in colour.
  5. Add crabs to pot with heavy lid and cook.
  6. Make a paste of coriander, poppy seeds and khobra and pour over crabs.
  7. :- Crab Curry is ready. Usually Crab Curry gets its taste the next day.
  8. :- Serve Crab Curry hot with rice.

Preparation Method is not clear… If I grind all the ingredient to paste than which onion should one add to oil and fry????

Thanks for this recipe. I will cook this as soon as possible because my husband loves crab and i never knew how to cook it. Now i can surprise him.
