North Indian Style Garlic Chutney

  • 10 nos Garlic pods
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 tbsp Grated coconut
  • 1 tsp Pepper crushed
  • 1 no Green chilly
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Curd not too sour
  • Salt As reqd


  • Microwave garlic for 30 secs with its skin on it (or steam garlic, till it is 3/4th cooked).
  • Remove skin off the garlic pods.
  • Grind together all the ingredients along with the cooked garlic into a fine coarse paste.
  • :- Do not add water, while grinding.
  • Add some fresh finely chopped coriander leaves to the chutney.
  • Chill it for 20 - 30 mins.
  • :- Serve as bread spreads.
