  • Padavalanga half kg
  • Onion half
  • Green chilly 2
  • Mustard 1 tsp
  • Daal half cup
  • Dried red chilli 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed


  • cut snake gourd in to small pieces and clean it well
  • take little of daal and clean it well
  • heat a pan and pour oil when its hot
  • put mustard to it when oil gets hot
  • when the mustard splutters pour the green chilly ,onion ,and curry leaves to it
  • stir well and add dried red chilly powder to it.
  • then add the daal or parippu to it and stir well
  • then add snake gourd and salt
  • stir well and close the pan
  • cook for 10 to 15 minute and add water if needed.
  • when the dish is ready
  • transfer to the serving dish .
