Palai Beef Curry Palai Beef Curry, a spicy beef curry 500 gm Beef1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder1 tsp Garam masala powder2 tsp Meat masala1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste2 cups Curd2 - Shallots (Kunjulli)4 - Green chillies (split the ends)3 nos Cardamom (Elakka)2 nos Cinnamon (Karugapatta)2 nos Cloves (Grambu)2 stem Curry leaves2 tbsp Coconut oil1 tsp Mustard seedsSalt (As reqd) Clean and cut beef into small pieces.Marinate the beef pieces with turmeric powder, black pepper powder, garam masala, meat masala, ginger garlic paste and curd for sometime.:- DON`T ADD WATER.Add salt, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon.Cook the above marinated beef mixture in a pressure cooker or tawa until done.Heat oil in another pan.Splutter mustard seeds.Add chopped onions and saute.When onion becomes light brown, add curry leaves and green chillies.Add the cooked beef and keep it on the flame until the onion and the gravy mixes well to make a paste.:- Serve hot with rice. Curry was good. But Beef should be pressure cooked for a minimum 5 whistles.
