Paneer Red Gravy

Paneer Red Gravy is a delicious North Indian curry made with Paneer (cottage cheese) and tomato based spicy gravy laced with Indian curry has a slight sweet taste and very mildly spiced. The bright red color of the gravy comes from red tomatoes and dried red chilies. This goes well with naan, roti ect.

  • To marinate
  • Paneer 100 g
  • Curd 3tsp
  • Kashmiri red chili powder 2 tsp
  • garam masala 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • For gravy
  • onion 1 no.
  • cinnamon small piece
  • clove 3 no.
  • cardamon 1 no.


  • In a Bowl add paneer, curd, kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, salt and ginger garalic paste
  • mix well and marinate for 10 mins
  • In a kadai heat the oil and temper the clove, cinaamon and cardamon
  • add chopped onion and saute it until it turn into brown
  • add marinated paneer and mix it
  • add required water for gravy and allow to cook
  • cook until the gravy becomes thick
  • now paneer red gravy is ready to serve
