Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Roast Bengal gram or chana dal and red chillies, till the colour changes slightly.
  3. :- Do not burn them.
  4. Allow it to cool.
  5. Grind together the above roasted items along with coconut, tamarind and salt.
  6. Heat oil in a pan.
  7. Splutter mustard seeds followed by black gram and curry leaves.
  8. Pour the above seasoning onto the chutney.
  9. :- Serve with hot idlis or dosas.

I tried this and it came very tasty but the problem is 1 cup kadalaparippu is too much for 2 people. Less than half cup is enough & leftovers won`t give the taste as the new ones.
