- Toor dal - 1/2/ cup
- Red chilly - 1 cup
- Coriander seed - 2 cup
- Jeera - 1/2 cup
- Pepper - 1/4 cup
- Fenugreek - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 5 strings
- Mustard - 1 tsp

Instructions
- In a pan, add toor dal then roast it and keep aside
- In the same pan add red chilly then roast it and keep aside.
- Add coriander seed then roast it well when aroma comes out, then transfer it
- Likewise roast all other ingredients one by one and transfer in a plate.
- Allow to cool and keep in sunlight for 1 hour.
- Now grind it coarsely and transfer to other plate.
- Now store in airtight container and use one or two spoons for rasam.
- Now Paruppu rasa podi ready to use.
