  • 1/2 of Fresh cabbage chopped
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 1/4 cup Roasted peanut powder
  • 1/2 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp Green chilly deseeded and chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • Asafoetida powder A pinch, Kayam
  • 3 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tbsp Corn oil
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • Salt As reqd


  • Mix together roasted peanut powder, coconut milk, lemon juice, sugar, mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar and salt. Toss to combine and add cabbage. Keep this aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard and cumin seeds.
  • Add green chilly. Saute well and pour into the vegetable mixture.
  • Peanut and cabbage salad, a healthy and easy to prepare recipe, is ready.
