Pineapple Pachadi - Sweet Dish Sweet and tasty dish made out of ripe pineapple 1 no Pineapple (chopped, medium)5 nos Green chillies (chopped)1 tsp Turmeric powderSalt (As reqd)2 cups Grated coconut1 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)1/2 tsp Mustard seedsShallots(Kunjulli)1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1 or Sugar2 cups Thick curd3 tbsp Oil1/2 tsp Mustard4 nos Dry red chillies2 tbsp Shallots (chopped)2 sprigs Curry leaves Cook chopped pineapple by adding chopped green chillies, salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.When it is done, mash it well.Grind together coconut, cumin, mustard, shallots and turmeric powder into a fine paste and mix it with mashed pineapple along with sugar.:- Add 1 tsp sugar first and check whether it is sufficient. If not, you can add some more sugar.Keep it on a low flame till it reaches slight thick consistency.Remove the dish from fire and beat in 2 cups of thick curd.Check salt and add more if needed.Heat oil in a pan and splutter half tsp mustard seeds.Add dry red chillies and saute 2 tbsp chopped shallots till it turns golden brown.Add curry leaves and pour this seasoning over the dish.:- Pineapple pachadi is ready to be served.:- This is one of the main dishes of traditional Kerala feast.
