A quick and tasty breakfast dish

  • Lime one or two small slices
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves


  • Firstly, take the rice flakes in a flat plate and sprinkle luke warm water lightly.
  • Make sure it is not overly soaked or else it will get pulpy.
  • In a pan, heat oil and splutter mustard seeds. Add onions, green chillies and saute. When it turns golden brown, add the peanuts and cooked potatoes and saute.
  • Add salt to taste. Now add the soaked rice flakes and stir carefully. You may sprinkle more water if required.
  • In some versions of this recipe, I have seen tomatoes as well. But I normally don`t add them as my husband doesn`t like it. Serve hot. You can garnish with coriander leaves and sliced lime.
