- Prawns / shrimps cleaned & de veined - ½ kg
- large onions finely chopped - 4 nos
- Red chilli powder - 1 ½
- Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
- Tamarind - 1” ball
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt(to taste) -

Instructions
- Clean & devein the prawns / shrimps.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the onions and fry until they are translucent in color.
- Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and 1 cup of water and cook covered on a low flame till the oil separates.
- Add the prawns / shrimps and cook until done.
- Add the tamarind juice / pulp and bring the curry to a boil.
- Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
