Spicy naadan malabar fish curry without coconut

For masala:-
- Ginger(garlic paste - 1 tbsp) -
- Fenugreek powder(A pinch, Uluva) -
- Chilly powder - 3 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp

Instructions
- Clean and wash the fish and keep aside.
- Mix together the ingredients for the masala with a little water and make it into a paste.
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Add curry leaves and onion and saute.
- When it turns translucent, add tomato and saute well.
- When it becomes a bit pulpy, add the masala paste.
- Fry, till the raw smell goes and the oil starts to separate.
- Allow it to boil.
- When the gravy becomes a bit thick, add salt.
- Add fish and cook, till the fish is done.
- :- Serve hot with rice or cooked kappa.

PS – I substituted lemon juice since we did not have Tamarind, and added some kasoori methi at the end, and it tasted just great.
soooooo good,and very easy to make.i am from calicut and it tasted just like my grandma`s meen curry.i had it with rice and it was so good.i put less chilly powder because my husband doesnt eat very spicy food,thanks roshelle
Adipoli fish curry,itz so spicy & tasty,my husband loved it.We had it with kappa —-very good combination. Roshelle try more receipes so we survive. Thankx buddy
