Tasty tomato korma for dosai or chappathi

Ingredients
- Ripe tomato(cut into pieces) - 4 nos
- Onion(finely chopped, medium) - 2 nos
- Shallots(Kunjulli) - 4 nos
- Green chillies - 4 nos
- Ginger(A small piece) -
- Garlic pods - 4 nos
- Curry leaves - 1 bunch
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Water(As reqd) -
- Grated Coconut - 1 cup
- Poppy seeds(Khashakhasha) - 5 gm
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves(finely chopped) -

Instructions
- Grind together shallots, ginger, garlic pods and green chillies with a little water.
- Heat oil in a pan or kadai.
- Add the chopped onion and saute well, till it is softened.
- Add the ground mixture into it and saute well, till the raw smell leaves.
- Add salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder and the garam masala powder.
- Add a little water and cover with the lid.
- Keep it on low flame for 5 mins.
- Grind the coconut and poppy seeds together.
- Allow it to boil well.
- Switch off the flame.
- Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves.
- :- Serve hot with chappati or dosai.

hi …thanks fr the nice words. yeah..healthwise u can definitely use refined oil..but since it`s kerala cuisine only, i preferred coconut oil.
this a wonderful dish..tasty and easy to make too. i had it with idli..really good. looking foward to more of this kind
