- Curry leaves(as needed) -

- Toor dhal(optional)(black gram can also be added if desired) -

Instructions
- Chop onions, cut chilli length wise and clean the curry leaves
- Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard and wait till spurts. Then add the toor dhal and fry till the color changes to brown
- Add the chopped onion, chilli , curry leaves and salt and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add water
- When the water boils add sooji
- Keep stirring, else the sooji will not mix well and be like small balls. Let it cook for about a minute.
- Serve with chatni, sauce or sugar
