  • 2 cups Pumpkin cooked, Mathanga
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp Lemon grass chopped
  • 1 no Bay leaf Karuga ela
  • 2 cups Vegetable stock
  • Pepper As reqd
  • Salt As reqd


  • For preparing simple pumpkin soup, heat a pan and add butter. Add onion, pumpkin and lightly fry.
  • Then put it in a blender and grind well.
  • Heat a vessel, add stock and put 1 bay leaf in it and boil. Add the ground pumpkin and boil it.
  • Add salt and lemon grass.
  • Cook well. Add pepper before serving.
  • Simple pumpkin soup is ready.
