- Siru keerai - 1 cup
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Cocconut grated - 1 cup
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Onion - 2 chopped
- Red chilli - 2
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Oil - 1 tsp

- Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds.When mustard splutters add red chilli and urad dal and stir for 2 minutes.
- In a drainer wash and clean siru keera
- Grind grated coconut,cumin seeds,onion and chilli powder in a mixer.
- Add this ground mix to siru keerai and mix well together.
- Then add this siru keerai mix and salt to kadai.Stir all together properlyfor 5 minutes until it is cooked well.
- Now siru keerai poriyal is ready to serve.
