  • Butter : 100 gm
  • Powdered sugar : 1 cup
  • Eggs: 3 nos
  • Plain Flour : 8 tsp
  • Baking Powder : ½ tsp
  • Milk : ½ cup
  • Nuts/ raisins / tutti fruity/ figs : as reqd (cut into small pieces and mixed with 3 tbsp of plain flour)
  • Sugar : ½ Cup


  • In a pan melt ½ cup sugar with ¼ cup water and melt completely. Heat on a low flame until it turns brown. Keep aside.
  • Beat the butter with powdered sugar and then add the eggs one at a time, whipping continuously.
  • Add milk, and continue whipping.
  • Add the melted sugar to this and mix with a spoon. Fold in the plain flour and baking powder to this.
  • Add the dry fruits and nuts to this and fold in lightly. (they must be mixed with plain flour)

  • Bake in an oiled tray on a low flame for about 30 minutes. Top with icing sugar or sugar powder.
  • Plum cake is ready.
