Ingredients
- Prawns(Chemmeen) - 1 kg
- Onions(chopped into small peices, medium) - 3 nos
- Tomato(finely chopped) - 1 no
- Tomato sauce(As reqd) -
- Ginger(garlic paste - 1 1/2 tbsp) -
- Chilly powder - 1 3/4 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
- Garam masala - 1 tbsp
- Lemon - 1 no
- or -
- Vinegar - 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves(A few) -
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Oil(As reqd) -

Instructions
- Marinate with 3/4 tbsp of chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt and lemon juice or vinegar for 1 - 2 hrs.
- Add a little water and cook, till 3/4th done.
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds.
- Add curry leaves followed by the ginger-garlic paste and saute, until slightly brown.
- Add the chopped onions and saute, until golden brown.
- Add the powders: remaining chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala and saute well, till we get the cooked smell.
- Allow it to boil.
- Lower the flame and cook for 10-15 mins or till the prawns are fully cooked.
- :- Serve Southern Prawns Roast Delight hot with chappatis, naan or even rice.
