  • Mix maida, baking powder, salt, jeera, ajwain and chilly powder in a bowl.
  • Add butter and mix well. sprinkle water and knead it to a chappathi dough.
  • Keep aside and cover it with a lid.
  • After some time, make medium-sized balls out of the dough.
  • Roll into circular flat chapathis and cut vertically and diagonally with one inch space between each line.
  • Cris-cross to get diamond shapes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry these cuts until golden brown.
  • Crispy spicy diamond cuts are ready.
  • Cool and store it in air-tight containers.
  • Note: 1)Good for tea-time snack and children snack-boxes.
