Ingredients
- Potato(boiled and mashed) - 2 nos
- Thick coconut milk(As reqd) -
- Thin coconut milk(As reqd) -
- Green chillies - 2 nos
- Garam masala powder(A pinch) -
- Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Coconut oil - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves(A few) -
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Pearl onions(cut into pieces, Kunjulli) - 5 nos
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/2 tsp

Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds.
- Add cumin seeds, chopped small onions, green chillies and curry leaves.
- When the onions turn golden brown, add the mashed potatoes.
- Add a pinch of garam masala powder and salt.
- Allow it to boil.
- Before it starts to boil, switch off the flame.
- Sprinkle some pepper powder and mix well.
- :- Serve with vellayappams.
