  • 10 nos Brinjals small
  • 1 1/2 tsp Peas dal split
  • 1 1/2 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • 1 1/2 tsp Coriander seeds
  • 10 nos Whole red peppers
  • Salt As required
  • Oil As required


  • Fry the above ingredients: peas dal, bleack gram, coriander seeds and whole red peppers in one spoon of oil and grind it to form a thick paste.
  • Cut 10 small brinjals diagonally so that the stem portion of the brinjal opens up.
  • Stuff the brinjal with the ground paste.
  • Heat oil in a fry pan.
  • Put the brinjals in it and cook over low flame.
  • Close the pan with a lid and cook for about 10 minutes. Do not deep fry it.
  • :-Serve hot.
