Ingredients
- Plain cooked rice - 4 cups
- Garlic pods(chopped) - 4 nos
- Veg oil - 4 tbsp
- Tofu(sliced into strips) - 1 cup
- Onion(sliced) - 1 no
- Sweet potatoes or white potatoes(diced) - 1 -
- Mushrooms(sliced) - 1/4 lb
- Tomatoes(chopped) - 1 -
- Brown sugar - 1 tsp
- Light soy sauce - 3 tbsp
- Curry powder - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
- Pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Green onions(sliced) - 2 -
- Thai basil(snipped) - 2 -

Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Fry the garlic in it until browned.
- Add tofu and onions and fry 2-3 minutes.
- Add the rice, mushrooms, potatoes, tomatoes, brown sugar and soy sauce and fry another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the curry powder, turmeric, and pepper. Mix well.
- Cut the green onions into pieces and sprinkle over the top, along with the snipped basil.

this is not the actual thai fried rice,
i tried this recipe n i felt like i reached thailand…can u give me recipe for american fried rice?
