  • 1/2k g Boneless chicken cleaned and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 no Lemon small
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • 4 tsp Rice flour
  • 1 tsp Corn flour
  • 1 no Onion finely sliced
  • 2 nos Green chilly slit
  • 1 spring Curry leaves
  • 1/4 cup Curd
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd


  • For preparing turtle chicken, marinate the chicken with turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt, lemon and ginger-garlic paste for half an hour.
  • Add rice flour and corn flour to the marinated chicken. Mix well.
  • Heat oil in a vessel and deep fry the chicken till it becomes golden brown in colour.
  • Take the fried chicken from the oil and keep it aside.
  • Strain the oil. Heat a little strained oil in a vessel.
  • Saute onion, curry leaf and green chilly till the onion turns brown. Turn the gas to medium flame.
  • Then add the fried chicken and curd to the fried onion. Mix it well.
  • Close the pan with a lid and keep for 5 minutes in medium flame.
  • Turtle chicken is ready. Serve hot as a starter.
