Ingredients
- Tomato - 2 medium
- Toor dal - 1/2 cup
- Jaggery - 2 tsp
- Tamarind( make extract with 1 cup water) -
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida(A pinch) -
- Salt to taste -
- Coriander leaves(Handful) -
- For seasoning: -
- Coconut oil - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Red chilly - 1
- Curry leaves - 1
For Udipi Rasam Powder / saaru powder:
- Coriander - 2 tblsp
- Red chili - 3-4
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp
- Coconut - 2 tblsp

Instructions
- For rasam powder roast all items which given in ingredient table with coconut oil and grind
- Boil toor dal and keep aside
- Now add jaggery and in other pan temper all item given above and pour in saaru
- Now its ready to serve Udipi Rasam / Saaru
