Ulundhu kali is one of the most healthy dishes given especially to girls. Its treadionally eaten with jaggery and gingelly oil. This dish is considered to be the store house of protiens.Urad dal is known for its rich fiber content and hence enhances digestion and is helpful in reducing cholestrol. This kali is given to girls to strenghten bones and muscles.

- urad dal 100 gms -
- raw rice 20 gms -
- jaggery 100 gms -
- gingelly oil or ghee 3 tsp -

Instructions
- also fry urad dal until golden brown
- make a fine powder of both dal and rice.
- fry this powder in ghee or gingelly oil
- when fried add jaggery to it ans stir
- after few mins ,it will turn to a halwa like substance becoming non sticky to the pan.
- this is the stage we can remove it and serve when cooled.
