uppu seedai is another important and traditional neivedhyam dish for krishna jayanthi festival.

  • 1 cup Homemade rice flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Urad dal
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 1 tbslp Grated coconut
  • 1/4 tsp Hing
  • 1 tsp Sesame seed
  • Salt as taste
  • Oil for frying


  • Fry urad dal powder in pan, turn off when aroma comes well and not fry up to brown
  • Mix with all other items except oil
  • Make soft dough with little water
  • Make small small balls and keep in news paper and rest for 15 mins
  • Now deep fry with oil and drain out
  • Now its ready to serve Uppu seedai
