Veg Pasta Indian Chinese Style

Indian Pasta(Macaroni or Penne) made with Veg, White sauce and in Indian style

Ingredients
  

Mixed vegetables:

  • 1 cup Peas, Potatoes, Corn, Carrots, Cauliflower etc boiled
  • 2 tsp Pepper crushed
  • 1 tsp Garlic chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 1 - Tomato chopped
  • 1 cup Penne or macroni boiled
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tsp Tomato sauce
  • 2 - Oil or butter
  • 1 cup Water

For white sauce:

  • 2 tsp Allpurpose flour Maida
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Butter

Instructions
 

  • Boil the macaroni or penne in water with a pinch of salt, till its done.
  • Mix together milk and maida without any lumps.
  • Heat butter in a pan.
  • Add the milk+maida mixture, stirring well for 2 - 3 mins. Keep aside.
  • :- Can add little water or milk if it becomes very thick as it should be of sauce consistency.
  • Heat oil or butter in the pan.
  • Saute onions, ginger and garlic, till light brown.
  • Add tomatoes and fry for 3 - 4 mins.
  • Add the boiled vegetables and salt and saute for 3 - 5 mins.
  • Add tomato sauce and pepper.
  • Mix well for 2 mins.
  • Add the boiled penne or macaroni and cook well for 5 mins.
  • Pour the white sauce and mix all the ingredients well.
  • :- Serve Veg pasta hot.
  • :- You can microwave the same with shredded cheese on top, till the cheese melts. :- Can use chilli sauce or more pepper, if tangy state is required for Veg pasta.
  • *The frozen mixed vegetable packets are available in grocery stores abroad.

    I was very skeptical about the indian type initially … but when i made it, my husband just loved it… n now its a part of dinner on a regular basis….Thank u so much for such a recipe!
