Vendakka Pachadi Fried lady`s finger in yoghurt 100 gm Lady`s finger (thinly sliced, Vendakka)2 nos Green chillies (sliced lengthwise)4 - Curry leaves1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1/4 tsp Mustard seeds1 tbsp Oil1 cup YoghurtSalt (As reqd) Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds.Add curry leaves, green chillies and lady`s finger.Fry for a few minutes, until lady`s finger turn crispy and light brown.Add turmeric and salt. Turn off the heat after 2 minutes.Add the fried lady`s finger into the yoghurt and mix well.:- Serve with rice/ rotis. Kerala
this is not the way to make pachadi. where is coconut & mustard seeds(pacha kadugu)???
Adding a cup of grinded coconut and 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds(pacha kaduku) would make it taste like a real pachadi.
adding a mixture of coarsely ground coconut and 1 green chilly to this preparation in addition to the curd would make this taste even better. seasoning the whole mixture at the end, is strongly recommended.
