Ingredients
- Yam 1/4 kg -
- Onion : 1 no -
- Tomato : 1 no -
- Curry leaves 5 no. -
- Ginger garlic paste : 1 tsp -
- Salt to taste -
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp -
- Red chili powder : 1 tsp -
- Garam Masala : 1 tsp -
- Oil : 4 tsp -
- Mustard : 1/2 tsp -
- broken urad dal 1/4 tsp -

Instructions
- peel the yam and chop into small pieces
- heat the oil in the pan and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and curry leaves and add onion and saute it
- add tomato and mix well
- add salt and turmeric powder and mix it
- add red chili powder and garam masala and mix it
- add par boiled yam and allow to cook for 10 mins in medium flame
- once the masala gets well cooked with yam turn off the flame
- now yam masala is ready to serve
