Ingredients
- Murrel fish - 1 kg
- Onion(chopped) - 2 cups
- Tamarind(Puli) - 150 gm
- Raw sour mangoes - 4 nos
- Green chillies(slit) - 10 nos
- Red chilly powder - 3 tbsp
- Cloves(Grambu) - 6 nos
- Cardamom(Elakka) - 6 nos
- Ginger(garlic paste - 2 tbsp) -
- Garlic pods - 10 nos
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Refined oil - 250 ml
- Curry leaves(A fistful) -
- Mustard seeds - 3 tbsp
- Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 3 nos

Instructions
- Clean the fish and cut into medium sized pieces.
- Peel the mangoes and cut into thin slices.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Splutter some mustard seeds.
- Add garlic bulbs and curry leaves and fry.
- Add marinated fish pieces, mix carefully and fry for about 10 mins.
- Simmer on low flame for 15 mins.
- Take 2 tbsp of mustard seeds, 3 dry red chillies and grind into a fine powder.
- To this, add 1 tbsp of oil and prepare a paste.
- Add this paste to the simmering soup and immediately put off the flame.
