  • 500 g Baby corn peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 3 tbsp Tomato puree
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • 1/2 cup Roasted groundnut powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd


  • Add turmeric powder, required salt and 2 cups of water to baby corn and pressure cook for 10 minutes until done. Keep this aside.
  • Marinade the corn with all other ingredients and deep fry it in kadai.
  • Stir in cooked baby corn and cook for 5 minutes. Add salt if necessary.
  • Garnish baby corn/baby makai fry with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chappathis, parathas etc.
