Carrot Pachadi

A traditional recipe made of carrot, curd and other ingredients

  • 1 cup Carrot finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp Green chilly finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Onion chopped and minced in salt water by hand
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • Mustard seeds A pinch
  • 1 tsp Uzhunnu parippu
  • 1 no Red chilly cut in 3 to 4 pieces
  • 3/4 cup Curd


  • For preparing carrot pachadi, mix the 1 to 3rd ingredients well and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil and fry mustard seeds and uzhunnu parippu.
  • Add red chilly to the above mixture, take it from flame and let it cool.
  • When it cools add this mixture to the 1st step mixture and stir well.
  • Add curd to it and mix it well again.
  • Carrot pachadi, a tasty kerala recipe is ready.
