For daqqus(tomato sauce, Grind all these ingredients to get a paste and cook over medium fire for 5 minutes):

Instructions
 

  • Take a large container and add 6 cups water to it.
  • Clean the chicken and cut into big pieces and add it to the water.
  • Add the onion, ginger, garlic, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom with salt.
  • Cook chicken on medium fire.
  • Remove chicken from container when cooked and strain the broth.
  • Marinate the chicken with tandoori powder(dissolve tandoori powder in 1/4 cup water) and cinnamon powder for about 1/2 hour.
  • Take another container and add some oil.
  • Add 1 tsp coriander powder to it and saute.
  • Immediately, add the soaked rice and fry for few seconds.
  • Add the broth and cook over medium fire.
  • :- Do not stir rice in between.
  • After cooking, sprinkle rose water and saffron on rice surface(soak saffron in1/4 cup of rose water and heat over low fire for few seconds).
  • Now either fry chicken in oil till red or bake the chicken in hot oven (250 degree C) till it is red.
  • For serving:- 1)Put the rice in a dish.
  • Add the cooked channa dal and place chicken over it.
  • :- Serve with tomato sauce and green salad.
