For preparing Chicken Potato Kurma, first saute the ingredients for grinding that are mentioned above in some oil. Keep the ground mixture aside. Next, heat oil in a wide bottomed pan.
Add cinnamon stick and stir in chopped onion pieces. When the onion are browned, add chopped tomatoes. Saute in low flame until the tomatoes blend well with onion.
Sprinkle garam masala and required salt. Add potato pieces and saute gently.
Add the ground coconut mixture and stir in chicken pieces. Cover and cook in medium flame.
Cook till the gravy has thickened and chicken pieces are soft and succulent.
