Palm
jaggery
for sweetness instead of
sugar
, karupatti sarkara
1/2
hand
Basil
Thulasi ela
1/4
tsp
Black
pepper powder
1/4
tsp
Dry ginger
or
ginger
chukku podi
1/4
tsp
Long pepper
optional, thippali
Instructions
For preparing chukku kaapi, boil
jaggery
, basil,
pepper powder
,
dry ginger
and thippali in 1 liter
water
.
Once it boils, add
coffee powder
and allow it to boil for 1 minute. Remove it from the flame.
Chukku kaapi is ready. Filter the coffee and serve hot.
Note:- 1)You can get thippali in ayurvedic stores.
If you add one thippali, add one full
jaggery
(insted of 1/2) otherwise it will be too spicy.
