1 kg Crab2 tbsp Oil2 nos Onion (finely chopped, medium)2 tbsp Ginger (chopped)5 nos Green chillies (chopped)2 tbsp Curry leaves (optional, chopped)1/2 tsp Pepper powder1 no Potato (boiled and mashed, medium)Salt (As reqd)1 tsp Garam masala1 or Egg (beat well)2 cups Bread crumbs2 cups OilFor marination:-1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1/2 tsp Pepper powderSalt (As reqd) Clean, wash and cut crab into 2 halves.:- Do not take the legs of the crab while making cutlet. Cook the crab pieces by adding turmeric powder, pepper powder, salt and little water. Allow it to cool when it is cooked. Take the flesh out of the crab by breaking the shell. :- You can use the tip of a knife or spoon to remove the flesh easily from the shell. Keep it aside.Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.Add chopped onion, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves and saute well by adding salt.Add mashed potato, pepper powder and garam masala and mix it well with the onion mixture.Add cooked crab flesh and mix well with the potato-onion mixture. Remove it from fire and allow it to cool.Beat well the eggs by adding little salt.Make balls out of the cutlet mix and shape it into oval shaped cutlets. Dip the cutlets in beaten egg, coat it evenly with bread crumbs and fry it in oil.:- Serve hot with tomato sauce. Kerala
