  • 1/2 cup Semolina Rava
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 cup Water
  • Food colour A pinch, yellow
  • 1 tbsp Cashew nuts split
  • 1 tbsp Almond nuts peeled and chopped
  • 10 nos Raisins Unakka munthiri
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder Elakka


  • Fry cashew nuts, almonds and raisins in ghee(Always add raisin in last, otherwise when cashew and almonds become brown, raisin will burned out).
  • Add rava in same pan and roast till the raw smell disappears.
  • Add sugar in rava and mix well. Add 1 cup of boiled water and milk(mix the color in the milk). Mix it well without lumps and cook well in low flame.
  • Add cardamom powder. Transfer it to a greased pan and allow it to cool.
  • When it cools completely, transfer it to a serving bowl.
  • NB:- Heat the almonds in bowl with little bit water in microwave oven(750 watts, 30 secs). We can easily peel the skin.
