Easy Vermicelli Upma - Healthy Breakfast

Vermicelli
Semiya
1/2
cup
Sprouted
green gram
cherupayar
1/2
cup
Onion
finely chopped
1/2
cup
Tomatoes
finely chopped
1/2
cup
Cooked
green peas
2
nos
Green chillies
finely chopped
Curry leaves
Few
Turmeric powder
A pinch
Mustard seeds
Few
Split black gram
Few, Uzhunnu parippu
Split
bengal gram
Few, Kadala parippu
OIl
As reqd
Salt
As reqd
Instructions
Heat
oil
in a pan and splutter
mustard seeds
, uzhunnu parippu and kadala parippu. Saute until golden in color.
Add chopped onions,
green chillies
and
curry leaves
. Fry until
onion
becomes transparent.
Add chopped tomatoes and cooked
green peas
. Saute in low heat.
Add
turmeric powder
and required
salt
. Pour 2 cups
water
and leave it to boil.
When
water
starts boiling, lower the heat and add roasted
vermicelli
. Cook until done.
Sprinkle sprouted cherupayar and stir gently until
water
has evaporated completely.
Easy
Vermicelli
upma, an ideal breakfast dish is ready. Serve hot.
