Kadalaparippu Chammandhi Chammandhi made from Bengal gram(Kadalaparippu) and coriander leaves- Ramya V 1/2 cup Bengal gram (Kadalaparippu)1/2 cup Coriander leaves2 or Red Chilly (Kollamulaku)Tamarind (marble sized ball, Puli)1/2 cup Grated coconut1 sprig Curry leavesSalt (As reqd)1 tbsp Oil1 no Onion(Optional) (small) Heat oil in a pan.Fry Bengal gram, till golden brown.Add coriander leaves and curry leaves and saute.Add red chilly and tamarind.Add coconut and salt.Take off from fire and leave it to cool.Grind well with a little water.:- Serve with dosa, rice, kanji(rice soup) and chappathis.:- You can add coriander powder and chilly powder instead of coriander leaves and chilly powder. I tried this recipe and it was really good. My husband just loved it. when I fried all the ingredients and added the salt it became very salty. But when I made a paste of it with tamarid water it was perfect. thanks for the recipe and keep it up.
