King Prawn Korma

King prawn korma - light, mild and creamy

  • 12 - King prawns peeled and cooked
  • 3 tbsp Natural low fat yoghurt plain
  • 3 tbsp Ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp Paprika ground
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 3 tbsp Coconut milk
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 2/3 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp Fresh root ginger grated
  • 1/2" stick Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 2 nos Green cardamom
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tbsp Fresh coriander leaves chopped


  • Place the yoghurt, cheese, paprika, garam masala, tomato puree, coconut milk, chilly powder and water in a bowl.
  • Blend all the ingredients together well and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a heavy pan.
  • Add garlic, ginger, cinnamon, cardamoms and salt to taste and fry over a low heat.
  • Increase the heat and pour in the spice mixture.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Add prawns and continue to stir-fry, until the prawns have heated through and the sauce is quite thick.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
