Ingredients
- Chicken(skinned and cut into pieces) - 1 lb
- Onion(chopped) - 1 no
- Onion(sliced into thin, half rings) - 1 no
- Tomato(chopped) - 2 nos
- Ginger(garlic paste - 1 tbsp) -
- Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp
- Fresh shredded coconut - 1/2
- Dry masala - 2 tbsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Oil -
For the dry masala:
- Red chilly powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
- Grinded Coriander, Cumin(Jeerakam)& Cinnamon(Karugapatta) powder(Malli) - 1 tbsp

Instructions
- For making the dry masala: 1)Mix and stir in a pan on heat, the above ingredients, for about 2 minutes.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.
- Heat the remaining oil in a pan.
- Add chopped onions & saute the onions until translucent.
- Add chopped tomatoes to make gravy thick.
- Stir for 2 minutes and add the chicken pieces with sufficient water to cook.
- Add 1/2 tbsp of garam masala to the fried coconut and blend it to a fine paste using water.
- Once the chicken pieces are cooked, add the coconut paste to it and cook for another 5 mins.
- :- Serve hot.
