Maida Cuts Maida Cuts 500 gm Allpurpose flour (Maida)1 tsp Red chilly powder1 tsp SaltAsafoetida powder (A pinch, Kayam)1 tbsp Ghee1/2 kg Cooking oil for deep frying Mix together maida, salt, red chilly powder, asafoetida, ghee or oil and knead well to make a soft dough.Make balls off the dough and roll them into very thin & large chappathis. Make cuts using a knife by drawing a number of parallel lines to cut into diamond shaped pieces.Deep fry in oil. Drain and pack in a air-tight container for longer shelf life. Kerala
This snack is also called `diamond cuts`. After rolling out the chapatis, I spread jeera nicely and roll it a bit more. It makes all the difference in taste..and you will love it!
