- Masoor dal - 1 1/2 cup
- Tomato - 1
- Onion - 1 medium
- Green chilly - 2
- Ginger(small pc) -
- garlic - 3
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt(to taste) -
- Water - 1 cup
- For tempering -
- Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
- Dry red chilly - 3
- Shallots - 2 chopped

- Take a pan heat oil and splutter mustard seed and add chopped shallots,when it turns to brown add dry red chilli and curry leaves,saute for 2 seconds and add into the cooked dal.
