  • For preparing modaks, cook the coconut, jaggery and cardamom adding some water in low flame till thick.
  • Boil 200 ml of water and add to it the flour, a little at a time, stirring continuously and cook in low flame till the mixture turns dry.
  • Remove from flame, add 1/2 tbsp oil and knead to a smooth dough.
  • Divide the flour and the coconut mixture into equal number of portions, form each dough into a cup, stuff with coconut mixture and shape into a pyramid, sealing the edges well.
  • Steam cook for 10-15 mts and serve either hot or cold.
  • Modaks is ready.
