Moong dal Pudalangai Kootu is very simple and easy to prepare. this is one of the regular menu in south India recipe. weekly once every family prepare this recipe in every home in tamilnadu . We have more variation to prepare this kootu. Either one is adding sambhar chilli powder or grind red chilli with coconut . We can have this for idly dosa , rice and chappathi. We can take this for both breakfast and lunch. We generally know the moong dal is rich protein and nutrients. This moong dal is growth body muscles and Moong dal is family of green gram. When its broken we call its moong dal / pasiparuppu in tamil. Pudalangai is rich in fiber and more water content vegetables. In English its Snake Gourd . So its very healthy to all people and mainly regular uses for weight loss people. In this recipe we add all ingrdient with moong dal and pudalangai and cook with coconut paste. Ingredients
- Pudalangai (snake Gourd)= 1 large(peeled) - 1 number
- Onion(peeled) - 1 number
- baby tomatoes - 1 number
- Moong dal(soaked) - 1/4 cup
- Coconut(grated) - 1/4 cup
- Red chili powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- termeric - 1/4 tsp
- Salt(as per taste) - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 string
- Roasted gram - 2 tsp
- Mustard seed - 1/4 tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp

Instructions
- Wash and peel pudalangai / snake gourd and cut and keep aside
- Now add onion and curry leaves and saute well
- Now add soaked Moong dal and mix well cook for 2 minutes
- Now add tomato and saute well
- Now add pudalangai / snake gourd saute well close lid and cook foe 1 min
- Now add all spices powder and slat mix well cook till raw smell goes
- Now grind coconut with roasted gram optional can add jeera make paste
- Now add that paste and add enough water cook till combines
- Now its ready to serve rice
