Mutta Ulli Vada

A

Mutta Ulli Vada is an enjoyable and most popular snack that is an apt choice for brunch or teatime. It can be served and enjoyed on its own or with a variety of lip smacking colorful chutneys. such as mint chutney, coconut chutney or tomato ketchup. We are all quite familiar with the normal Ullivada that is a traditional styled snack. Here I am introducing Mutta Ulli Vada with a slight variation. Boiled eggs are pocketed in these Ullivadas and deep fried. A healthy and innovative snack, you must try the dish at home and do send me feedback. One of the things I like about these snacks is that these are very customizable snacks, you can add different herbs and spices to the batter to create a variety of flavorings. But in this recipe I have done a basic dish that requires very few ingredients. For example, for Mutta Ulli Vada, you can add chopped coriander leaves for that fresh vibrant taste and flavor.

While preparing Mutta Ulli Vada, for those who have an aversion towards eggs, you can experiment with other fillings like chopped veggies or paneer. Boiled eggs and onions are traditional fillings, you can choose your own ingredients that fancies you. Mutta Ulli Vada is great to serve for parties and other occasions. To make work simple, you can also prepare the batter in advance and store in the fridge until you are ready to fry the vadas. Serve Mutta Ulli Vada hot and crisp. These snacks are loved by people of all age groups. These versatile and delicious snacks are a great addition to your evening time menu. Even bachelors and those new into cooking can try out the dish. If you are looking for a healthier version, you can consider baking. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and drop spoonfuls of batter into a greased baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes until brown and crispy. You can explore a well detailed Mutta Ulli Vada recipe here.
