- Chicken - 1 kg

- Green chilly - 5
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 3 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 3/4 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves(few) -
- Salt to taste -
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Coconut - 1 grated
- Shallots - 5
- Dry red chilly - 5
- Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 3 tbsp

- For preparing the spicy aromatic dish, first heat oil in a pan and roast grated coconut, dry red chilly, shallots and cumin seeds until dark brown in colour. Switch off the flame, allow it to cool and grind it with little water to make a smooth fine paste.
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, potato and mix well
- Add 2 1/2 cup water and cook for 3 whistles.
- When the chicken is well cooked, add ground mixture coriander leaves, curry leaves and bring it to boil. Add water if required to get the correct consistency of the curry.
- Naadan Kozhi Varutharachathu is ready to serve. Serve it with porotta, ghee rice, chapathi etc..
